We certainly deserve to do nothing from time to time...so don't forget to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, if you could today:) and enjoy the fact that your family is so blessed indeed:)Annie's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12090526620020692343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6175865320341351639.post-58587928694967563432017-02-08T05:23:40.782+02:002017-02-08T05:23:40.782+02:00Annie, a big hug.. I'm a mother, a housekeeper, a driver, a cook, a caregiver, a teacher, a mentor, all in all. Still some people think, as I'm staying at home I've nothing to do.. :(krishnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14415543228464576537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6175865320341351639.post-47862576166060202142017-02-07T18:53:38.914+02:002017-02-07T18:53:38.914+02:00Nancy, my own mother had to go to work and we were...Nancy, my own mother had to go to work and we were left with the maids at home...perhaps, it was not a choice as there were a lot of us siblings! I was a discontented little girl, always crying, always needing attention...thus, I resolved it would not be so with my children. My husband and I agreed to live within our means, took our respective roles, and God took care of the rest and everything worked out for good:) You are a very strong woman to be able to comply all that you did during your time. I don't think I could do the same just as good...Annie's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12090526620020692343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6175865320341351639.post-10633559989727107562017-02-07T18:35:43.024+02:002017-02-07T18:35:43.024+02:00Sue, I'm so glad you see what I see...just ima...Sue, I'm so glad you see what I see...just imagining children coming home to an empty house brought me close to tears... I just couldn't do that to my own children and I feel terribly sorry that there are others who have to face life like this...they're only children for a very short time:(Annie's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12090526620020692343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6175865320341351639.post-54207228634070265712017-02-07T14:18:46.369+02:002017-02-07T14:18:46.369+02:00We need to appreciate homemakers. So I am a working wife & mother plus a homemaker at the same time. We couldn't afford a helper, so I have to try my best to be a working mom plus a homemaker as well. It was tough then but now I get to relax as my kids are grown up and I am retired.Nancy Chanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10790364807514237397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6175865320341351639.post-9487261281955800532017-02-07T11:31:26.316+02:002017-02-07T11:31:26.316+02:00I agree completely! I think the loss of a full-time homemaker in the family system is one of the main reasons society has the problems it does nowadays.<br />Over here in the States, it's sad to see the demise of good parenting and a good family life. Oddly enough, it almost seems as though a lot of these "mothers" have no motherly instincts anymore...and it's getting worse with each passing generation. I look back fondly at my childhood--my mother was home with us (as most were at that time). Now, kids come home to any empty house and seem to get into a lot of trouble with all that "alone" time. It's sad.............Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10122524042294993949noreply@blogger.com
