Tavuk Sote - Turkish Chicken Meal

Dear Family & Friends

We rarely go out for a meal...we're domesticated clan and enjoy home cooked food. But occassionally we find some excuse to do so. We visited our tested Turkish Restaurant and I ordered this dish called Tavuk Sote. I liked it and thought that I should try to replicate it at home for the enjoyment of the family.

Turkish meal freshly cooked for you:)

This dish is so easy to do and this is the recipe that I followed:

Chicken Saute with Tomato
(Domatesli Tavuk Sote)

2 chicken breast, cut in cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
3-4 garlic cloves, sliced
1 long green pepper, cut in small pieces
2 onions, chopped
4 tomatoes, cut in cubes
1 Tbsp of tomato paste
1 tbsp red pepper paste
1 pinch crushed red pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp oregano
Salt
Pepper
a bunch of parsley, chopped

In a medium sized pan, saute the chicken and garlic with olive oil until the garlic cloves lose their smell. Add all the remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes with the lid covered. If necessary, add a little bit hot water. Enjoy this with rice salad and bread.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas gathering with your family and friends. I also wish you a very happy and blessed new year 2015!

Yours
