Down the garden well...

Can you see how dry our garden lawn is? oh...it will turn back to a 'lawn' as soon as it gets watered...but for the moment...we're running out of water from the well...BIG PROBLEM! So...R with the help of my big girl, cleaned up the well with this heavy metal tube to get as much muck out....oh...it's a very dirty job!

That's Georgie in there!..our local 'maestor' (handyman)... He's going down the well to guide the tube!  Don't worry...we tied a rope down just in case we need to pull him up....no...not around his neck!...for that's wicked!

Hey! I'm a celebrity...get me out of here!

but....What are you doing down there?

After all the dirty job....we realized that we still haven't solved our water shortage problem....perhaps we need to dig the existing well deeper to obtain more water...but people said there's no guarantee....and how do we dig it deeper?! to be continued....

    1. Metered water is expensive for gardening purpose. So a garden well is a common thing in villages...and so with water problem at the height of summer! tsk! tsk! Arthur, we never saw a well either, till we moved to Bulgaria...that's why we don't know how to deal with our present problem Blush blush!

  2. Hi Annie

thanks for dropping by my blog :)

wow...that is very deep well. Not an easy tak to get water from a well. Have tried once using a bucket. Guess now they have water pump to pump water from the well .

    Have a nice weekend :)

    1. Yeah! I wanted the old fashion winding the crank to lower the bucket down the well, and back to pull it up again..but hubby said: No woman in her right mind would want that to water 250 tomato plants, 250 sweet pepper plants...AIYO! so we have to settle for the humming sound of a motor pump instead! Oh my shattered dream.. due to 'fault of modern technology!!' Despite that, I'll still have a nice weekend! Hope you will too:)
