A doiley that will be a shade for a lamp...

My friend wanted to make a shade for her table lamp. She asked if I could crochet her a big doiley....

Do you think I could say no? ....of course not! Crocheting is a pleasureble thing to do. So, with a ball of cotton thread, I sat on my throne and started!

This was in the afternoon...before midnight arrived, and in between other housechore routine demands, I'm almost finished.

Might sound funny, but I crochet till my fingers gets numbed and I still call it enjoyable!

My friend is going to starch and shape this unto a bowl... so this post will have to be continued when I can go back to see how she will finish this project. Stay tuned.

  1. Very pretty. We usually place something like this, say, under a vase or a fruit bowl...or make it bigger/broader and use as a tablecloth for a round coffee table.
