We're a family that loves reading books...we could probably live in a library if we must! When we moved to this village, we were so amazed that there's actually a library here!! But certainly,we're not talking about the same standard as what libraries are like in the western world! One of these days, I'll pop in there to take some photos to share with you what I mean....
new books for our local library...hurray! |
The books are all very very old, tatty and dusty! The smell is so musty...in place of a computer, you'll find a very old manual typewriter! But we have a librarian who is friendly and always asking my girls to visit the library....for no one really pops in there either! But all the books are in Bulgarian language...although she insist that they have a couple of english books, of which she meant: english authored books that was translated to bulgarian language.
This set ofbooks are so precious to our local library:) |
Last week, the librarian once again met my two girls and insisted with excitement that they must come over to the library because finally...finally...FINALLY, she got some brand new set of children's encyclopedia!! HURRAY! HURRAY!!
The girls were encouraged to borrow them...and they did! It's good for them to read books in cyrillic language to further their skill...and these new books are definitely inviting:)
I'm sure... one day, our library will slowly get updated and our village people will develop the joy of reading too:)
Yours
