With temperature soaring high...I've start neglecting my garden because I just can't stand the heat! The fact that I got bitten by an insect whilst gardening last week causing a huge swelling due to my allergy with insect bites....it will take a few days for me to get back my nerves to face gardening for a while..so jungle garden look is here to stay:)
In the house, we close up windows and draw the curtains in the day to block the sunlight....no, we got no airconditioner here... but these measures are already sufficient in keeping our home cool. Staying indoor is how to combat intense summer heat. ...and it's also a good opportunity to start venturing into projects...
Within a day, I managed to make two mini quilts using old clothes... yes, I think my left hemisphere brain was put to work!...and glad it's still there!!
Because I don't sleep well when it's hot, I stay up as late as wee morning before going to bed...so, hand stitching a mini quilt is a brilliant idea... I can be as quiet as a mouse all thru the night with sewing.
This chicken design mini quilt will be hanged as a banner in the kitchen cupboard...but first, it needs to go into washing and ironing.
Usually, the last week of July and first week of August are the hottest two weeks of the year for us here....so, perhaps, a dozen of mini quilts will be accomplished in that time!....Later, I could go back to face the neglected garden/jungle once again.
Yours
