My inheritance is turning into a flower!

A few years back, we were living in an attic apartment. In the same building, on the basement, lived 'baba' (grandmother) by herself. One day she summoned me to come down to her little place. Nothing much in there...but she opened and showed me a cupboard full of knitting thread and she wanted me to have them!!

Little did I know this bag full of assorted thread was her inheritance for me...for the following week, when I went to look for her, I was told she went to the hospital and there she died! Baba enjoyed knitting and embroidery in her younger years.... but since I'm not so good in knitting nor embroidery...I'd like to turn baba's thread into crochet beauties instead!

.

This is one of the thread ball found in my inheritance bag. It's so fine and I like the white thread!

and since I still have some more of this red thread from the thrift shop...

I got pickle minded with various options....

Should I do this motif in red... (even though my eyes are fed up with the colour by now...)

or ... work the same motif  in white instead??

or perhaps...I could pair them together!

and come out with this....!

It took me a few days to decide this simple matter...for

Finally...this is what I settled for!

So this project will see me seated on my throne for good long months I reckon....nothing makes me more happy than to be hooking away!

  3. Beautiful. My missus used to do that a lot many years ago but she would stick to white all the time. I think she did something in yellow/orange once only.

    1. Glad you like the colour combination:) It might grow big enough to cover the rectangular coffee table...or maybe bigger... as far as the thread will take me to!
