What Was Planted

Dear Family & Friends

Around this time is the season to plant more plants in the garden. Garden centres are also marking down some of their plant products to encourage sales.

We planted a few more grapevines. This grape variety was choosen by my little girl..her reason was that we don't have pink coloured ones...

I've also been dreaming of climbing roses...so we planted red and white rose climbers to climb on trellis and roof edges.

This is a blue berry shrub. I'm not sure whether it will like it here...but we must give it a try. So far, our other gooseberry shrub is doing well. It sounds nice to have a few varieties of these soft fruit but I personally am starting to squirm thinking of the sour tart taste of these fruits... but some member of our family has a taste for these things...

As for me, I am an Asian true and true.... I love things like ginger and fruits of the tropics...so I couldn't resist planting ginger bulbs on trial basis. Perhaps, I'm asking too much...but I have to try to find out. I insist on growing and or sprouting these ginger...so wish me all the best!!

Nothing is certain in life. We just have to cast and see what comes our way. One must try and never give up:)

Yours,

    1. Hi Alvin! I think I would be asking for the impossible if I were to add Yam and Taro in my ambitious plant list...but I could do some research...:)

  3. I have never planted ginger before...really? I might do this year because I use ginger in my cooking often.
