A Tea Cup For Loose Herbal Tea

Dear Family & Friends

We had a lot of rain drizzles...typical spring time! There's not much I could do in a wet garden. Cooler days like these mean.. time for a nice warm herbal tea. This particular tea cup does it's service well.

With the lid on, it can brew and keep your tea warm. It also got a removable porcelain strainer.

We have been growing our own herbs in the garden for this purpose. Homemade herbal tea means you have a way of knowing exactly what was mixed in your tea drink. With loose herbs, you would need a strainer so you won't be drinking bits with your tea.

Various herbs blend makes a very interesting tea flavour. Today, my cup of tea was with Chrysanthemum flower, berries, orange peels, and rock sugar. It taste wonderful:) I simple lift the porcelain strainer within, sit it on top of the upside down lid, and I have my delicious tea drink!

This is definitely a very handy type of tea cup for homemade loose herbal tea. Do you have any favourite tea cups? or tea mix?

I hope you had a wonderful Easter celebration. We enjoyed ours with some friends over at our place. They also brought me a big tray of various herbs seedlings from their garden...Oh...I'm so happy and grateful! So, there will be lots of herbal tea ingredients to look forward to:)

Yours

  1. I like your tea cup set. Where did you get it? I have a couple tea cups with lids but I don't use very often, they are gift from nice lady friend and still in the box. Give me smile every time I open it.

We have not yet started our garden project. Life gets in the way. I like grow some herbs too.

    1. The tea cup was bought from one of our local shops that have cheap and cheerful goods from China...Not every product is good but this one is.
Go for it...grow your own herbs...very convenient to just go out in the garden, pick some to use in the kitchen:) We use herbs as medicinal wonders too:)

  2. Lovely tea cup set. I was just thinking the other day that a cup of chrysanthemum tea would help me heal faster but I had none in the house so could not make it.

  3. Annie , I love your Chinese tea cup , it looks dainty yet functional :D No special tea mix for me though I would love to try organic tea mix just like yours . I still have loads of tea bags here and I keep telling myself to use it instead of drinking copious amount of too sweet coffee everyday :P

    1. Anne, I'm also naughty...I find drinking coffee keeps me awake at night, sometimes it also gives me tummy ache and headache...but I can't say complete No to it...I have to change my habit of torturing myself with coffee LOL
