When you live in a village, everyone seems to have the same garden produce, all planted roughly about the same time too! Because we all share the same climate, we also share the same abundance or crop failure, more or less!
Enormous and very chrunchy type of grapes |
So, you can understand that it is difficult to share your garden produce to fellow villagers because they have those too!... But, because we are foreigners living in the area?? or is it that we have two young children??they still drop us some of their fruits in season!
We say..."Oh thank you...but we do grow and have them in our garden too..."
They would reply..."But, it's not the same.."
Ah...Aren't they sweet? Well, no complain whatsoever on our part...in fact we are grateful...we just have to eat some more:)
Steady supply of apples in bags lands at our doorstep:) |
It's a practice that the elderly in our village usually treat children with fruits, instead of sweeties or chocolates...yes, just like the old traditional way..and we like that!!
Well, we count all these as extra blessings!
Have you counted your blessings today?
Yours
HI Annie! Oh, your fruits looks so pretty and tasty. Those are some pretty grapes. I've been on a kick lately buying them and eating them. How wonderful you can grow these. Thank you so much for popping in to see me and your kind words.
