Manual Water Pump In The Garden

Dear Family & Friends

The water metre reading man came today to do the reading of our monthly bill, at the same time, we pay him the money owed, right there and then. Very convenient right? Water cost about 5 pounds/month... we're pleased because we understand that if we were living in UK, our bill would at least be 50 pounds/month... OH! What a difference!

With a much bigger garden, we need extra water...but for gardening, we have free underground water resource to make use of. Since we had plenty rain this year, plants in the garden didn't need as much water as we did last year. For the moment, manually hand pumping water from the well, is more than sufficient.

Water hand pump for  the garden

I seem to spend a lot of time these days with this hand pump! It's a pleasant activity because the weather is not that hot just yet to be out there. The exercise for the arm is not a bad idea either.

The water well source is just next to the green hand pump

This manual hand pump is much cheaper to buy than the electric ones too....I really like the idea of old time gadgets that just needs man-power...that means that even if there is electric power cut, we can still water our garden! Now, are you impressed? ;P

Wishing you a good day today.

Yours

  1. Oh my goodness! You cannot believe how much we pay for the water...yours are really inexpensive. I like the pump. My grandparents had one like it but removed after new water system was put in, natsukashii (nostalgic).
